You may not need to take the Language Placement Exam.
If you are starting a new language at JMU, you would not need to take a Language Placement Exam. You could simply enroll in the 101 level of your new language.
However, if you think you might want to continue your studied language after all you may continue with the questionnaire.
Taking the exam will not force you to take a language course.
