Information

Dr. Tomás Regalado-López is a Professor of Latin American literature in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at James Madison University. His passion and interest in Latin America led him to write his dissertation about Mexican and Latin American literature at the University of Salamanca, Spain. At JMU he teaches Latin American literature and Latin American culture. He is also a member of the Latin American, Latinx and Caribbean Studies (LAXC) committee and of the Madison Hispanic Caucus (MHC). He is the author of Crack. Instrucciones de uso (Mondadori, 2004), with the seven writers of the Crack movement, La novedad de lo antiguo: la novela de Jorge Volpi (1992-1999) y la tradición de la ruptura (Universidad de Salamanca, 2009), and Historia personal del Crack. Entrevistas críticas (Albatros, 2018). He is a member of the following academic associations: Latin American Studies Association (LASA) and UC-Mexicanistas.
