Kari R. Zehner ('92) Memorial Award

Kari began her work as a geographer for the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity at Marine Corps Base Quantico in 1994. She was one of the founding members of the Command's Geospatial Intelligence Program and one of the longest-serving members of MCIA. She received 21 different awards from the command in recognition of her work on geospatial analysis and support to the Marine Corps mission. Kari also received citations from other intelligence community agencies and commercial partners recognizing her contributions to a wide array of geospatial and intelligence projects. Kari received the Civilian Employee of the Year and Meritorious Civilian Service awards.

The recipient of this competitive award must be a full-time student majoring in geography, completed at least 30 credit hours, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0

The recipient will receive funds totaling approximately $1,800 to be used to offset tuition and fees.
