Annual faculty evaluations promote professionalism, encourage performance at the highest levels, and indicate areas where improvement is needed. Evaluations are also used in making personnel decisions, including allocation of merit pay increases, employment continuation, and post-tenure review initiation. Annual evaluations of all faculty members must be conducted after the conclusion of each academic year and completed in accordance with the Faculty Handbook and unit-level guidelines.
