Alternative Breaks are led by two student co-leaders. The students are responsible for the break logistics, communication with the community partner, team development, and facilitating group reflection sessions. The faculty/staff Learning Partner participates as team member, advisor, and enhances learning, and is not responsible for the leadership or logistics of the break.

It is important that Learning Partners participate in all team activities. This includes participation in all activities during the break and several group meetings before and after the break. Please visit the Learning Parnter page on the Alternative Break Website to learn more and complete a profile with your interest and availability. View a list of upcoming breaks on the Alternatvie Break website.
