Zach Logan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences from JMU in 2006 and his Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching from JMU in 2007. While in college he was active in the Lambda Beta Chapter of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. Since graduating he earned his certification in K-12 Administration & Supervision from JMU in 2016 and his certification in Gifted and Talented Education from Shenandoah University in 2020.

Zach has spent the last 14 years as a middle school educator in the Warren County Public Schools system. He has taught 6th Grade U.S. History, 7th Grade U.S. History, and 8th Grade Civics and Economics. He developed and taught elective courses in World Cultures, Middle School Social Skills, and an Introduction to Social Sciences Research for gifted students. He served as the Site Coordinator for the Warren County’s 21st Century Community Learning Center for middle school students, which provided both after-school and summer enrichment programs. He has also served as a supervisor for summer school, a coordinator for an SOL Remediation program, and as a facilitator for Warren County’s alternative-to-suspension program.

Zach believes that the College of Education at JMU encourages students to become involved in the life of their communities. Since graduating, he actively supports the St. Luke Community Clinic, Front Royal Women’s Resource Center, House of Hope Men’s Shelter, Warren / Page Branch of the NAACP, Warren County Educational Endowment, and Front Royal Presbyterian Church.

Zach lives in Front Royal, Virginia with his wife, Kara, and his daughter, Cecilia.
