Virginia is often described a “purple” state, with pockets of blue and red across its hills and valleys. Citizens in the Commonwealth often face the same issues, but experience them in different ways. Being able to talk together across divides for the common good of the Commonwealth is paramount to our state addressing these issues and for our democracy.
