Each year, the School of Integrated Sciences (SIS) hosts the SIS Senior Symposium - a culmination of capstone projects featuring the work of students in the Geography, Intelligence Analysis, and Integrated Science and Technology programs. The day-long event is held in April.

As part of the SIS experience, every student completes a capstone project. Working individually or in teams, students work on a problem with a real-world component, sometimes teaming with local industry or governmental sponsors. Capstone project ideas can come from the students themselves, faculty advisors, or sponsors.  The capstone project gives students an opportunity to use the knowledge and skills they learned to address a real-world problem and receive valuable hands-on experience.
