Research Interests

My research sits at the intersection of urban geography, critical GIScience and cartography, and geospatial big data, where I develop geocomputational and visual methods that use geospatial data to examine the social, relational and often overlooked non-visual sensory dimensions of urban life and their implications for planning and design.

Research focuses:

  • Urban Analytics
  • Geographic Data Science
  • Multi-sensory Experience
  • Spatial Analysis & Visualization
  • Social Media & Big Data
Courses I Teach
  • GEOG 215: Introduction to GIS and Cartography
  • GEOG 367: Programming for GIS
  • GEOG 350/465: Quantitative Geospatial Thinking
  • GEOG 469: Applications of Geographic Information Systems - Urban Analytics
  • ISAT 449: Emerging Topics in Applied Data Science
