IA Student Ambassador

Class of 2027 (May)

Minors: Geography, USGIF Certificate

Why did you become an ambassador?
I became an IA Ambassador because I wanted a role that would allow me to support prospective students and aspiring analysts as they navigate the challenging parts of college and the major. I want to be a friend and mentor they can count on for honest guidance, questions, or concerns about anything IA-related. I ultimately hope to help others discover the same excitement, curiosity, and fun in investigation and research that made me fall in love with IA.

Why IA?
I chose the IA major because I’ve always loved exploring complicated, real-world problems and understanding how global events shape national security. The major gives me a diverse fountain of scenarios, ideas, and analytical challenges or hypotheticals to dig into, the exact kind of work that makes me excited to think, write, and research outside of class. Keeping up with current events and then seeing those issues woven into the projects we work on only deepens my passion for this field.

What do you enjoy most about the program?
Intelligence Analysis constantly pushes me to think critically across a wide range of issues while building a strong and genuinely useful analytical skillset. Every class exposes me to new problems, emerging threats, and creative scenario-building that mirror the complexity of the real-world problems I hope to tackle in my future career path. From dice rolls, small class sizes, interesting yet specific research topics, and dressing up for presentations, what's not to love?
