Class of: 2028 (December)
Hometown: Alexandria, VA

About me: Hi, I’m Ashley! I’m a sophomore CS major with a minor in Public Policy and Administration. I’m most interested in Cybersecurity and Software Engineering!

Why I’m at JMU CS: I chose JMU for its scenery and the CS department! I loved how small the classes were, so it made it easier to get to know professors and other students! The department as a whole is very welcoming and willing to help you out even if you’re lost, which made it a great choice. On top of that, I have made many great friends along the way because the classes are so small!

Clubs and interests: Outside of the CS department, I’m involved in Latinx Student Alliance, Outdoors Club, WIT, and National Defense Society! I enjoy spending my free time with friends and family, going to the gym or on hikes, playing games, reading, and baking. I’m an open book, so feel free to talk with me without hesitation!

Ask me about: Honestly, ask me about anything, but especially when considering clubs and music!
