Apply to the Exercise Physiology Master's Program

Applicants will be evaluated based on several criteria including: undergraduate GPA, a personal statement, and letters of recommendation. All of these application materials must be received prior to consideration for admission.

Application deadlines:

Applicants are strongly encouraged to begin in the fall as the program is designed with a specific course sequence that begins during the fall semester. Additionally, most graduate assistantship opportunities begin during the fall term. Prospective students should apply by March 1 for consideration for a graduate assistantship, as well as for strongest consideration for admission. However, applications for fall admission are considered on a rolling basis and will be accepted through July 1.

Spring admission (deadline: November 1) is highly selective and reserved only for exceptionally strong applicants.

GRE Test:

  • GRE scores required for international applicants who have not completed their degree at a US-based institution (If you have country-specific restrictions, please contact Dr. Kurti-Luden for guidance)
  • GRE is encouraged but not required for applicants with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 or those whose major is unrelated to Exercise Science
  • Students with an unrelated major are encouraged to have earned a grade of B or higher in a Human Physiology or Exercise Physiology course.
