You can  schedule an appointment with our Career Advisors through Handshake. There are a variety of appointment options, including phone, email, video (via Zoom), or in-person (but physically distanced with plexiglass and masks). If your internship or other summer plans are disrupted as a result of the situation around coronavirus, our advisors are available to assist you in finding alternative opportunities. We're committed to seeing all JMU students positioned to succeed!

We've put together a number of resources on COVID-19 and Your Job/Internship Search as well. Also check out  our Career Tools page for an overview of all of the platforms you have access to, wherever you are. And see our Decision Making 101 page to help with your major and career exploration process.

Career Ready Dukes Workshops

These virtual workshops are self-guided eLearning modules that offer flexibility and a chance to learn the content. Each virtual workshop is designed to be completed independently in one sitting. They each consist of a combination of video clips, text and interactive activities to keep you engaged. Each module will take you about 30-60 minutes to complete and includes an audio guide so that you can follow along with narration. Do you need class credit? Please make sure you complete the first section with your name, email address, professors name and course title.

Here are some upcoming events.

See our Events page for the latest on virtual programming available to you!
