My Career Journey
I was born and raised in Virginia and growing up passions of mine always included sports weather it be playing them or watching them. I competed in High School athletics in both Football and Track and field and ended high school as a Magna Cum Laude recipient. During my freshmen year, I got involved in the JMU Sports Network serving as a broadcast operations assistant for numerous ESPN+ games over a plethora of DI competitions and I also work in customer service as a cashier at my home job LEDO Pizza. While my professional playing career dreams never came to fruition, being involved in sports media and sport broadcasting are what my Communications major and Sport Communication Minor hope to build upon going forward. I am now a sophomore who worked this same position last year, and learn so much being in the WBLE environment and was able to learn and grow so many adjacent skills to my career ambitions with the guidance of supervisors and help of coworkers showing how JMU's Career Center can be a excellent support system for students but also working experience for students.
