My Career Journey
My career started behind the espresso bar at Starbucks, where a love for connecting with people turned into a 17+ year journey through leadership and operations. I went from barista to store leader to enterprise operations consultant—each step teaching me the value of intentionality, collaboration, and learning by doing.
As I grew, I discovered that real impact happens when you listen, build trust, and create opportunities for others to thrive. Those lessons guide me today at JMU, where I’m passionate about helping students connect with employers, expand their networks, and launch careers they’re proud of.
Student success is at the heart of everything I do—and I’m continuing my own learning journey by working toward my bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and Project Management. Every student’s journey matters, and I’m here to help you turn possibilities into opportunities.
More about me
Three words that describe me:
- Creative
- Empathetic
- Resilient
- I have five hens named after amazing women in my life—they rule the backyard like feathered royalty.
- My two sons are the same age for one day every year… it’s the only time they agree on who’s older.
- I’m a foodie adventurer always hunting for my next obsession—Korean BBQ and Japchae have my heart, but what should I try next?
