My Career Journey
I am currently a Senior SMAD major with a concentration in Creative Advertising and a minor in British Communication and Media. My career journey began at 14, when I started my jewelry business, LoveLem. This was where I was first introduced to social media marketing and taught myself how to market a brand. I utilized my free time during the COVID-19 pandemic to focus on building my brand, which quickly gained traction online. I am currently the Public Relations chair for my sorority, Phi Mu, where I have gained experience with marketing a large organization. I am currently a Senior Creative Executive for JMU's student-run PR firm, Bluestone Communications. In this role, I work with an account team to create deliverables for local organizations and businesses in Harrisonburg. This past summer, I studied abroad in London, where I had a marketing internship for SEVDA LONDON. I am excited to combine all of my experiences and work as a Student Media Assistant for the Career Center.
