In an age characterized by persuasive technologies, ever-present entertainment media, information overload, and artificial intelligence, many people find that their higher intentions and life goals get lost in the noise.
The JMU Attention Literacy Initiative seeks to collaborate with students and faculty to understand our evolving information environments and learn to regulate attention more effectively to reach important personal and societal goals. By having important conversations and integrating attention literacy, we can create more engaged learning communities that minimize frustration and maximize flourishing.
