Lindsey Kelley received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi, and began her career in Alabama. She spent a year at the University of Alabama studying technical direction and while there worked on the Pre-Broadway production of The Countess of Storyville. She has also worked at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival as an apprentice technical director. There she led the build for the ASF touring productions and assisted on the Pre-Broadway production of Duncan Sheik’s Because of Winn Dixie. She has worked as a properties manager and technical director at places like the Virginia Samford Theatre, the Contemporary American Theatre Festival, Oak Grove High School, and Southern Arena Theatre.

In 2020, she graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with her MFA in Scenic Design, and also served as Head of Properties for three years. While at Southern Miss she placed 1st in Allied Arts for KCACTF Region 4, 2nd for the David Weiss Scenic Design Award, and several other awards for scenic and properties design.  S

She recently moved from Las Vegas, where she began her M.Ed. in Secondary Education at the University of Nevada- Las Vegas with a specialty in English and Theatre. She worked within Clark County School District as an educator, and also as a carpentry contractor and crew lead with Sin City Scenic. While at SCS, she build props and scenery for clients such as the Usher: My Way Residency at the Colosseum, “Weekends with Adele” residency also at the Colosseum,  magician Shin Lim, Vail Tourism, Magic Mike’s Last Dance, Other Brothers Magic, magician Jen Kramer, and Broadway in the Hood. 

Her interests involve the use of new methods and materials for fabrication, technical education for neurodivergent students, and creating costume-friendly food/edible props.
