Description:

All newly designated supervisors of classified employees, as a condition of employment, are required to complete the one hour, Understanding and Using the Grievance Procedure online orientation course and quiz created by JMU’s Office of Human Resources and the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM).

JMU has a responsibility familiarize employees in supervisory roles with the state’s grievance procedure for non-probationary, classified employees and to provide training and resources to university supervisors.

During this course, you will learn about:

  •  Services provided by the Office of Employment Dispute Resolution (EDR)
  • Fundamentals of the grievance process
  • Roles and responsibilities of all parties involved
