Description
Duties:
Provide individual instruction and support to a rising 7th grader in the areas of reading comprehension and conceptualization skills (such as inferencing, summarizing, reasoning and linking background knowledge, build working memory skills, etc).
Requirements:
- Proficiency/experience in adolescent reading literacy.
- Graduate student in education or other relevant training background.
- Letter of recommendation from a professor in the Education Department or other relevant major of study.
- Individual with qualities of patience, flexibility, creativity and ability to foster a good working relationship with middle-school aged child.
- Availability to meet 1-2x/week for July and August.
