Duties:
Summer Childcare Position – The Porter family is seeking a patient, engaging, and reliable individual to provide part-time summer childcare for their energetic and curious 5-year-old son, who is neurodivergent. He thrives with interactive, compassionate care. Ideal candidates have experience with neurodivergent children and/or are currently studying IECE, SPED, ELED, or CSD, or have participated with Empowerment 3 at JMU. Preference will be given to bilingual (English-Spanish) applicants, as he is enrolled in a dual immersion program at his elementary school.

- Must be responsive when contacted via text.
- Must be able to drive to the family’s location.
- Must enjoy children and be actively engaged.
- Must be willing to play outside.
- Preference given to those certified in First Aid & CPR.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Specific hours
May 15-June 6 • 4-8 hours/week. June 7-August 15 • 12–15 hours/week.
Duration of position
May 15-August 15, with consideration for next school year.
