The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi: Charter Members of the JMU Chapter
On September 25th, 1974, a chapter of Phi Kappa Phi was established at what was then Madison College under the leadership of Dr. William E. Callahan, Head of the Department of Philosophy and Religion. Professor Callahan was the founding President, Dr. Marjorie Christiansen was Vice-President, and Dr. Garney Darrin was Secretary-Treasurer.
