Research Description

Dr. Giovanetti probes fundamental physics. His work with the CLAS collaboration has revealed details of the structure of the nucleon where quarks and the strong interaction are underlying ingredients. His efforts to improve basic knowledge of particle properties through the MuLan collaboration led to unprecedented high precision measurement of the lifetime of the muon. This value provides critical insight into the weak interaction. He currently is challenging the current fundamental physics models working in the g2 collaboration at Fermi Laboratory.
