Research and Teaching:
Prof. Fraser-Morris is a scholar of religion in late antiquity with a particular focus on early Christianity. His academic interests include inter-religious conflict and dialogue, early Christian theological debate, early Christian apologetics, ancient philosophy, and the history of the Constantinian era. Currently, Prof. Fraser-Morris is working on a book about the fourth century Christian intellectual, Lactantius, and his theo-pedagogical masterpiece, the Divine Institutes.
Prof. Fraser-Morris has taught courses at the University of Virginia on contemporary religion, religious bioethics, New Testament, Hebrew Bible, and constructions of the other in biblical literature. During his tenure at JMU, he has taught Religions of the World (REL 101), Intro to Christianity (REL 340), and Christianity as a Global Religion (REL 348).
