The Student Leadership Challenge is a model of leadership developed from research done by James Kouzes and Barry Posner. They also developed the Student Leadership Practices Inventory (SLPI), which assesses the frequency of your application of 30 different behaviors the research established as being closely tied to effective leadership.
The Student Leadership Center offers you an opportunity to learn more about this model of leadership and to complete the Inventory to help you better understand the specific behaviors you can work on improving to become a more effective leader.
After completing the Inventory you will be able to sit down with a trained and qualified Consultant from the Student Leadership Center to provide insights into the model, as well as review your results from the Inventory. Together you will identify gaps in your leadership skills, become familiar with resources available to you, or discover possibilities you might explore on your leadership development journey.
The key to your continued improvement as a leader may very well be with the help of personalized, 1:1 discussions, during SLPI Consultation sessions custom-tailored just for you.
