What is Make Your Mark on Madison? (MYMOM)
MYMOM experience is a 10-week leadership development program held in the Fall semester each year for all undergraduate students. The goal of the program is for every participant to obtain a sense of belonging, become more self-aware, and begin to recognize their innate ability for self-authorship. In short, it emphasizes every student’s ability to make their mark on JMU. Program nights are held Mondays from 7:00-9:00pm.
What happens on Monday program nights?
Each Monday program night introduces a specific leadership topic such as personal values, diversity, and difficult conversations. An external presentor will share their knowlege on the leadership topic for the first hour. After the presentation, Leadership Counselors will separate and lead their individual councils to discuss and demonstrate that topic further with participants.
