Reengineering Madison is JMU's enterprise-wide digital transformation. It modernizes the university's core business systems, improves how data is managed and shared, and enhances the experience of students, employees, alumni, and donors. The work spans finance, human resources, admissions, and more, all aimed at better service, greater efficiency, and stronger, data-informed decisions.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Modern cloud systems for human resources, finance, and planning live and stabilized, with early efficiency gains.
  • A modern data and analytics environment live, with human resources and finance data available.
  • Student and financial aid systems live, with stabilization underway.
  • More than five manual processes retired, all new purchase orders created in the new system, and more than 90% of performance reviews completed in the system.

FY27 Action Items

  • Continue implementing the new cloud systems for human resources, finance, and planning, including integrations and testing.
  • Prepare and begin training campus users.
  • Support the first admissions cycle in the new constituent relationship management system.
  • Operationalize coordinated communications through the new marketing platform.
