Dr. Tomás Regalado-López is a Professor of Latin American literature in the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures at James Madison University. His passion and interest in Latin America led him to write his dissertation about Mexican and Latin American literature at the University of Salamanca, Spain. At JMU he teaches Latin American literature and Latin American culture. He is also a member of the Latin American, Latinx and Caribbean Studies (LAXC) committee and of the Madison Hispanic Caucus (MHC). He is a member of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) and UC-Mexicanistas. His research interests include contemporary Latin American literature, Mexican literature, Crack, McOndo, and Boom.
