Faculty Panel Discussions - Spring '25 Semester

Team Teaching Unpacked: Faculty Experiences from JMU X-Labs - This new brown bag lunch series brought together JMU X-Labs faculty in panel discussions to share their experiences in cross-disciplinary team teaching in JMU X-Labs. Through open discussion, the panelists shared the unexpected emotions, exhilarations, challenges, and pedagogical epiphanies integrated into each JMU X-Labs teaching experience.

Design Thinking Sprint Workshop - Spring '25 Semester

Design thinking sprints and challenge statements are the foundation of JMU X-Labs courses. This interactive workshop was designed to give faculty and staff a primer to signature features. Attndees were part of a mini sprint to collaboratively tackle a real-world challenge by progressing through the key stages of empathy, defining the problem, ideation, prototyping, and testing.

Building Challenge Statements Workshop - Postponed
**This workshop was cancelled for the Spring '25 semester and will be rescheduled at a later date.**

Design thinking sprints and challenge statements are the foundation of JMU X-Labs courses. This interactive workshop was designed to give faculty and staff a primer to signature features. Attendees were invited to learn how to define clear, actionable, and human-centered problem statements that could inspire the next step towards proposing a JMU X-Labs course and supporting their research.
