The Strategic Plan 2020-2026 Performance Measures represent key university metrics chosen to track the advancement of the university’s 2020-2026 strategic plan. The information has been collected from various sources across campus and compiled by the Office of Institutional Research.

The strategic plan performance measures are organized into five areas. The first four areas illustrate metrics and corresponding targets that align with the strategic priorities of the JMU Strategic Plan (PDF). The university actively works to improve or maintain these metrics.

Strategic Priority 1: Being the Change in the World

Strategic Priority 2: Advancing Inclusive Excellence

Strategic Priority 3: Attracting the Students of Tomorrow

Strategic Priority 4: Strengthening Support and Infrastructure

The next area reflects additional key performance metrics for the university related to JMU’s vision. This area provides key metrics and corresponding targets that illustrate JMU’s commitment to achieving its vision. Similar to the first four areas, the university actively works to improve or maintain the metrics related to the vision.

Strategic Priority 5: Supporting the University's Engagement Vision

In addition to the strategic plan performance measures, senior leaders and the JMU Board of Visitors have identified a number of additional metrics that may help stakeholders understand important trends that do not have associated performance targets. These metrics are grouped under two areas and are provided for informative purposes.

Additional Metrics of Importance: Finance and Athletics Trends
