Salman Sheikh joined the Center for Global Engagement in 2024. He previously served as a Graduate Assistant in the College of Education from August 2023 to May 2024 and as an Office Assistant during the summer. In his current role as Associate Director of Operations, he oversees end-to-end study abroad operations including financial planning and analysis and fiscal duties, ensuring compliance with university and state policies. He also provides strategic direction and serves as the primary contact for study abroad program directors and collaborates with campus partners, offering guidance on program operations, and assisting with logistical and event support. He is working closely with the Director of Study Abroad and Enrollment Manager to help program directors throughout the procedure.

Before JMU, Sheikh was a Senior Executive at Zong (China Mobile Pakistan), specializing in financial analysis for over nine years. He led the financial wing of the Engineering Department and supported its cross-functional team. He is a Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and is passionate about traveling and exploring cultures, Sheikh loves his profession and aims to advance in budgeting, financial planning, and analysis at JMU CGE. He joined the organization to gain new experiences and broaden his horizons in a non-profit setting.
