Mallory Coffman joined the Center for Global Engagement in February 2019 as the Assistant to the Executive Director. In this capacity, she provides administrative support for the Executive Director as well as various faculty, staff, programs, and initiatives at the Center for Global Engagement (CGE). She is committed to serving the JMU global community, and works collaboratively with university administrators, faculty, staff, students and alums, as well as with external partners, and international colleagues and visitors to promote the CGE’s mission and value. Her duties include scheduling meetings and conferences, arranging domestic and multi-country international travel, preparing travel reimbursements, organizing and maintaining data, supply ordering, and handling logistics for special events and incoming visitors.

Mallory is a proud graduate of JMU with a B.A. in English, and loves working at her alma mater (Go Dukes!). Prior to returning to Virginia, she spent a decade as a ‘superhero of making dreams come true’ in her role as a Resort Concierge in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her 10+ years of service in the hospitality and travel industry, as well customer service industry, helped shape her into a reliable and resourceful individual who highly values integrity, dedication, loyalty, organizational skills, and a sense of humor.

In her free time, she enjoys going hiking, practicing yoga, watching Friends reruns, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. Mallory loves to travel, and has been to 40+ states in the U.S., as well as Europe and Mexico. Her bucket list travels include Ireland, Spain, Greece, Italy, Brazil, and Egypt.
