Ginna is an Associate Director in the Office of Strategic Gifts. She began her development career at JMU in 2011 as Coordinator of the Office of Planned Giving. After working in donor relations at Washington and Lee University, Ginna returned as Assistant Director of Planned Giving. She enjoys connecting alumni, families, and friends with opportunities to support JMU.

Ginna’s earlier career spans government, public affairs, and residential real estate, including positionswith a lobbying and political consulting firm for the federal Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission, and in the Office of Virginia’s Secretary of Commerce and Trade.

A North Carolina native, Ginna and her family have called Harrisonburg home since 1998. Before joining JMU, she worked in Harrisonburg City Public Schools. She is the proud parent of a 2019 College of Business graduate and enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
