In honor of emeritus professor F. Howard Campbell, the Department of Geology & Environmental Science established the Outstanding Senior Award for Earth Science majors. This award is presented to a graduating Earth Science major who has demonstrated outstanding academic acheivement. Mr. Campbell joined the geology faculty of Madison College in 1967, two years after the geology major was established. During his 30-year career, Mr. Campbell enjoyed teaching a wide variety of classes and was committed to building a strong and vibrant department. This award is in honor of Mr. Campbell's dedication to the department and his passion for all areas of earth science.
