The AmeriCorps VISTA is responsible for expanding and enhancing the overall capacity of The Pantry on campus to address food insecurity among low-income students by: increasing awareness and education among low-income students around the food pantry, available resources for basic needs, and accessing SNAP; expanding partnerships both on and off campus to enhance and sustain food pantry services; and ensuring that future resources are available to low-income students as they work to attain their educational goals and transition out of poverty.

Bio: 

Evan grew up in Flemington, New Jersey. He graduated from James Madison University in 2022 where he double majored in Global Justice and Spanish. While a student, he co-founded a unique peer-peer mentorship called Dukes Support Network and was actively involved in campus-wide initiatives. Outside of his position, he enjoys spending time with family, playing the guitar and Crossrope.
