Microsoft Copilot Chat

Copilot Chat is available at no extra cost to anyone in the JMU community. Copilot Chat is an artificially intelligent chat service powered by the GPT chat model and the DALL-E text-to-image model that can deliver information as text-based responses and generate images. JMU users have data protections when logged into the service, meaning that Microsoft does not monitor access and no data is ingested to train the underlying AI models.

M365 Copilot

M365 Copilot is available as an extra-cost subscription for employees of JMU. M365 Copilot is intended to boost productivity by providing intelligent suggestions and automating tasks in Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. M365 Copilot can assist with creating and editing files, correspondence, and more.

Microsoft Copilot Studio

Copilot Studio is available as an extra-cost subscription for employees of JMU. Copilot Studio allows users to build and maintain custom agents within their department. Licensing is available upon approval of a Technology Solution Request (TSR).

The TSR should state the use case and obtain the appropriate departmental approval for purchase of a Copilot Studio license to build and deploy custom agents within the department.
