Actions or decisions based solely on AI-produced assessments/results are prohibited.  All AI-produced assessments/results must be reviewed and confirmed by a knowledgeable individual.  

AI-produced assessments/results must be reviewed for bias and accuracy. 

The use of AI must be transparent, and the following disclaimer must be included when AI is used to generate output: DISCLAIMER: This decision or output was created with assistance from artificial intelligence.  

Do not share confidential or personally identifiable information.  This includes, but is not limited to, student/faculty/staff IDs, financial information, intellectual property, or other sensitive information that should not be publicly disclosed. 

Do not share information that could compromise the privacy or security of anyone associated with JMU. 

Do not share information that could identify individual students or their data. 

Be cautious when seeking or providing information that could have legal, ethical, or reputational implications. 

Use of the system is limited to that which has been explicitly approved by IT.
