Tickets will be required for the Winter Commencement Ceremony (Undergraduate and Graduate) on Saturday, December 18th. 

Each student will receive up to six (6) tickets for friends and family. All tickets will be e-mobile tickets and will be scanned at the door.

At this time, we do not plan to reduce ticketing quantities for graduates. However, should CDC guidelines shift, we may need to make changes accordingly. If this were to occur, we will communicate any adjustments to our plans to our graduates and guests. 

The tickets can only be requested by the graduate, not by family and friends.

Ticketing Timeline
  • November 9 - Ticketing opens, graduates will be sent an email from JMU Grad advising that graduates may now submit their ticket request
  • November 9 to December 15 - Graduates may request tickets (ongoing)
  • December 3 - Reminder email sent from JMU Grad
  • December 8 - Reminder email sent from JMU Athletic Ticketing
  • December 13 - Final email reminder to graduates from JMU Grad reminding that ticketing ends on December 15th at noon
  • December 15 - Ticketing closes at noon
  • December 16 - JMU Athletic Ticketing will send guests and graduates a reminder to download and transfer tickets prior to arrival to the arena, parking and other information
