Professional Experience

Amber Loyacano spent 17 years teaching high school English in Waynesboro, VA. During her tenure as a high school English teacher she worked mainly with juniors tackling the EOC SOLs and AP Language and Composition students. She earned her National Board Certification in 2012. Amber received a Teacher of the Year award and a Dawbarn award during her teaching tenure.

Personal Interests

Amber is an avid reader and works closely with the Virginia Festival of the Book where she has led author panels since 2017.
