I am a master’s student in Dr. Dana Moseley’s lab. I will be studying soundscapes, specifically the effect of the 17-year cicada emergence in D.C. on Gray Catbirds and their singing behavior. I am originally from Sidney, MT and received my bachelor’s degree in biology at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. I took a year to do a post-baccalaureate program at NDSU studying Red-winged Blackbirds using audio recorders, then I spent the next year crafting floral arrangements in a local grocery store. In my spare time, I try to get outside or make art, but often, I spend that time playing video games or watching anime.
