I am a 1st year master’s student in Dr. Walker’s lab, where I focus on studying melanopsin – primarily expressing intrinsic iridial photoreceptors in a mouse model. I received my Bachelor’s degree at JMU, where I majored in Biology and minored in Pre-medicine, Mathematics, and Pre-optometry. While completing my undergraduate degree, I worked for two years in Dr. Enke’s lab studying the retina at a molecular level with a focus on epigenetic regulation through methylation.
