To check in, please arrive at Holland Yates Hall prior to 12:30 PM. (see our detailed driving and parking instructions).
Admitted students and their guests will receive a printed copy of the day's schedule and an Admissions Visitor Guide and Campus Map. Admitted students will also receive a complimentary meal voucher to be used at D-Hall or E-Hall. Guests may use the coupon in the Admissions Visitor Guide and Campus Map for a discount.
Please arrive early if you would like to use your meal voucher before the event begins.

12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Presentation and Panel
Enjoy an engaging presentation led by Admissions and Orientation and Transition staff, along with current students, who will share insights and important next steps to becoming a JMU Duke.
1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Adventure Time Tour
Students will explore JMU's campus in small groups with Student Ambassador Tour Guides. Meanwhile, guests—including parents and guardians—will enjoy their own traditional campus tour. After your adventures, you'll reunite for the next activity.
3:15 PM - 4:00 PM
Simulated Classroom Experience
Experience a real academic lecture led by a faculty member where you can ask questions and learn more about academics and college courses here at JMU.
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Explore On Your Own
The rest of the day is yours to explore JMU. Use this time to dive deeper, ask questions and gather everything you need to feel confident in you college decision! Here are a few great ways to help you picture yourself as a Duke from day one:
- Visit the Student Success Center to discover the wide range of services designed to support you throughout your JMU journey.
- Stop by the Office of Student Life to learn how you can get involved on campus.
- Drop in on academic departments across campus to explore programs that spark your interest.
- Grab a bite at D-Hall or E-Hall and get a taste of JMU's top-ranked dining options.
Please note: Most campus offices close at 5:00 PM, so plan your stops accordingly.
