Ms. Maribeth D. Herod of Herndon, VA is the Rector of the JMU Board of Visitors and is retired as Senior Vice President of Bank of America.  She is a 1982 graduate of James Madison University. Term:  2020-2024; Governor Northam.

The Honorable Richard "Dickie" Bell of Staunton, VA is a retired educator and retired member of the Virginia House of Delegates.  He is a 1988 graduate of James Madison University.  Term:  2022-2026; Governor Youngkin.

Ms. Teresa Edwards of Chesapeake, VA is the Regional President, Southside, and serves as interim President, Acute Care division, Sentara Healthcare.  She is a 1980 graduate of James Madison University.   Term:  2022-2026; Governor Youngkin.

Mr. Christopher Falcon of Annandale, VA is Vice Rector of the JMU Board of Visitors.  He is Deputy Clerk and Legal Counsel for Arlington County Circuit Court and is owner and founder of The Falcon Firm PLLC.  He is a 2003 graduate of James Madison Univeristy.  Term:  2020-2024; Governor Northam.

Mr. Jeffrey E. Grass of Arlington, VA is CEO of buySAFE, Inc.  He is a 1992 graduate of James Madison University.  Term:  2019-2023; Governor Northam.

Mr. Matthew Gray-Keeling of Richmond, VA previously served as the Virginia State Director of The Humane Society of the United States.  He is a 2005 graduate of James Madison University.  Term:  2019-2023; Governor Northam.

Ms. Maria D. Jankowski of Richmond, VA is Executive Director of the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission.  She is a graduate of University of South Carolina-Columbia and East Carolina University.  Term: 2019-2023; Governor Northam.

Ms. Deborah Tompkins Johnson of Woodbridge, VA is retired as Regional Policy Director, Dominion Resources.  She is a 1978 graduate of James Madison University. Term: 2019-2023; Governor Northam.

Mr. John C. Lynch of Virginia Beach, VA is a partner at Troutman Pepper LLP.  He is a 1991 graduate of James Madison University.  Term:  2020-2024; Governor Northam.

Ms. Lara P. Major of Purcellville, VA is an Educational Consultant.  She is a 1992 graduate of James Madison University.  Term: 2020-2024; Governor Northam.

Mr. John C. Rothenberger of Great Falls, VA is CEO of Strategic Enterprise Solutions, Inc.  He is a 1988 graduate of James Madison University.  Term: 2020-2024; Governor Northam.

Mr. Michael Stoltzfus of Bridgewater, VA is President and CEO of Dynamic Aviation.  Term:  2022-2026; Governor Youngkin.

Mr. Craig B. Welburn of Manassas, VA is CEO of ECC Enterprises Holding Company LLC.  He is a 1996 graduate of James Madison University.  Term: 2019-2023; Governor Northam.

Mr. Jack White of Fairfax Station, VA is Partner, McGuireWoods LLP.  Term:  2022-2026; Governor Youngkin.

Ms. Donna L. Harper of Harrisonburg, VA Vice President for Access and Enrollment Management, serves as secretary to the board.  She is a graduate of JMU (1977) and educational specialist (1986).

is the non-voting Student Representative to the Board.  He is a junior from Hampton, VA.  Term:  2021-2022 and 2022-2023
