Meet Laura, SACM's Marketing Strategist.

Laura arrived at JMU, in Fall of 2025, after working as a Marketing Coordinator at Trident Technical College, in Charleston. Laura has her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Auburn University. She also has an MBA from Kennesaw State University.  

At SACM, Laura supervises the department’s graduate assistant and student social media managers. She is the first to meet with Student Affairs clients and sets a positive tone through her balanced and professional advice about branding, best practice and strategies for better engagement. Laura oversees the delivery of the Dukes Weekly digest and Potty Mouth and creates analytics and reports for Dukes Weekly and social media. She also develops and oversees strategies for boosting engagement with the VP of Student Affairs, Dr. Tim Miller’s accounts. In her free time, Laura enjoys playing various sports, spending time outside and deepening her connections with friends and family.
