Duties:
Greetings JMU students! We're a local family seeking a part-time Mom's Helper and Babysitter to play with our 22-month-old daughter and assist with light household chores (vacuuming play areas, folding laundry, meal prep etc) during the spring semester.
We're specifically seeking care during 8:30 AM - 10:45 AM, M-F with the option to pinch hit on additional days when our primary caregiver is out!
Please consider applying if you:
- Get energy from engaging 1:1 with little ones.
- Are ok with dogs.
- Able to show up on time and communicate openly.
- Are able to make an 8:30-10:45 AM slot at least 4/5 days (M-F) per week.
- Looking for a supportive family atmosphere as a part of your JMU experience.
Our hiring process consists of an intro call, followed by an in-person visit at our home, then reference checks before we move toward an offer.
About Us We're a family of of three (plus an adorable super-mutt) residing in the Sunset Heights neighborhood. We moved to Harrisonburg in 2024 from California where we originally met. Mom and Dad are both tech startup entrepreneurs (different ventures - there's hardly a dull moment) and get to work from home a lot. Our daughter is almost two years old with an endearing personality (lots of imaginative playtime and silliness) and a penchant for owls. If this sounds like a good fit, we'd love to hear from you!
