Areas of Expertise

Stewart teaches all sculpture classes as well as 3-Dimensional Design and cross-disciplinary special-topics courses, including Thinking Drawing Building, Art In the Social Sphere, and (re)Shaping Space. As sculpture area coordinator, his responsibilities include metals studio, plaster room, sculpture courtyard, general work area, mac and digital labs, graduate and undergraduate advising, and coordinating the JMU Public Sculpture Invitational.
