What are you up to now?
I am now a graphic designer for CyberVista, a cybersecurity training and workforce development company in Arlington, Va.

How does your art major inform your career?
I would not have achieved this amazing career without the incredible education I got from the graphic design program at JMU. They taught me every possible media of design, from print to web, which made me very desirable in this field.

What are some of the most valuable skills you gained from the School of Art, Design and Art History?
The fact that I am also skilled in studio art had aided my career in design so much that I have been able to incorporate my painting into my assignments in order to enhance the quality.

What is your advice for JMU students knowing what you know now?
My advice is to take notes, notes, notes. Record everything you learn from all your major classes, because that is priceless information to use in the workforce.
