Michael Signer is general counsel of a technology firm in Charlottesville, Virginia, and a lecturer at the University of Virginia. He was elected to the Charlottesville City Council in November 2015. In January 2016, Signer was unanimously selected to serve as mayor for a two-year term. Previously, he practiced law at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr as counsel to former Gov. Mark Warner.
