Pianist, musician, and entrepreneur Natalie Doughty is the current director and primary piano instructor for the JMU Music Academy.
She recently launched her arts-integration focused brand and piano studio inRenaissance Music & Arts as well as Piano Courses for Adults, an online piano learning program specifically for beginning adults. Natalie is currently the President of the Harrisonburg Music Teachers Association as well as the director and primary piano instructor/curriculum developer for the JMU Music Academy.
Natalie is very active in the community to promote and nurture artistic relationships and events. She has also co-authored and co-presented topics on business, entrepreneurship, and musical education for the Music Teachers National Association Collegiate Symposium as well as the National Conference for Keyboard Pedagogy. She received her Bachelors of Music and Masters of Music in piano performance from JMU.
