Expand the College of Health and Behavioral Studies

JMU is expanding the College of Health and Behavioral Studies to strengthen its leadership in healthcare and behavioral health education, research, and community engagement. Through investment in academic, clinical, and research space, the college will grow its capacity to prepare professionals for the Commonwealth's most pressing workforce needs. The project has cleared major milestones: Commonwealth funding is approved, design is complete, a construction manager is selected, and the work is moving from planning into construction.

FY27 Action Items
- Complete planning, approvals, and preconstruction to authorize construction.
- Complete demolition of the Cantrell Avenue Parking Deck and related site and utility work.
- Mobilize and begin construction following execution of the guaranteed maximum price.
